After recently announcing St Leonard’s Hospice York as our Charity of the Year 2026, we were so excited to get stuck into fundraising straight away - and what better way to start than with cake?
On Valentine’s Day, the Caboodle team held a themed office charity cake sale, raising over £150, what a great start to the year for the hospice while bringing a little extra sweetness into the workplace.
With heart balloons, Valentine’s bunting and a table packed full of treats, it was a brilliant way to kick off our year of corporate fundraising.
A Cake Table Full of Love
The effort everyone put in was honestly amazing. Our cake sale spread included everything from cupcakes and brownies to biscuits, traybakes and some seriously impressive sponge cakes.
The Valentine’s theme made it even more fun - lots of pink, red, hearts and homemade bakes that looked almost too good to eat… almost!
Colleagues popped by throughout the day to donate, grab a slice or two, and enjoy the lovely atmosphere. It was such a simple event, but it really brought everyone together.
After the cake sale, we took a selection of leftover bakes over to a very local homeless shelter, so that the treats could be enjoyed by others in our community too. It felt like a really meaningful way to share a little extra kindness, and a reminder that small gestures can go a long way.
