New Business Professional
We need a rainmaker.
Someone who can make it rain with new business. Someone who can make our office, err very wet!
You will have a record of success and ideally in an automotive and/or digital sales (websites) and you will need to have at least 18 months relevant experience. This is not home based or a “hybrid” role – it is working from our office in Harrogate.
We have loads of cool stuff to sell and a great story to tell potential clients, so you will need to be great at identifying and creating opportunities and slick and confident when presenting. There will be the inevitable telephone work and some days will be better than others but as a self-motivated individual you will have bullet proof drive and self-confidence.
We are expanding our range of services and have a unique offering that we want you to tell potential clients about and close the deals. You will be paid handsomely if you are successful, you can also expect to earn plenty too! You will help shape the overall business development strategy and get involved at every level of the business.
Ideally you will be able to find potential pitch opportunities as they occur by using the internet and networking - and you may need to attend events outside of normal business hours.
A charismatic, good writer and conversationalist, knowledgeable about business, understand digital advertising, website builds, brands and design is the kind of thing we are looking for. Someone who can think creatively about how to open up and develop a dialogue with business contacts.

Job Description
The role is to assist an Account Director in the day-to-day running of key clients’ marketing activity. You will be the main contact between the clients and the agency; responsible for planning, co-ordinating and administrating their individual marketing campaigns, liaising with various departments and outside companies to ensure that client requirements are met on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationship with clients and discuss their advertising needs
- Brief the creative, studio, media, digital and search marketing teams or external suppliers where necessary
- Present campaign ideas and costs to clients
- Handle amendment and approval process efficiently and smoothly
- Solve problems and make sure that deadlines are met
- Check and report on the campaign’s progress
- Keep in contact with clients at all stages of their campaigns
- Manage and invoice campaign costs
- Undertake administrative tasks promptly and precisely
- Keep up to date on clients’ market developments and analyse competitors’ activity
- Understand and follow brand guidelines
- Write blogs and newsletter stories

The Whole Caboodle, established in 1994 is a dynamic and forward-thinking agency based in Harrogate, and is seeking a driven and experienced Digital Media Planner Buyer to join our growing team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a mid-weight professional (3-5 years' experience) to take ownership of key client accounts and shape impactful media strategies.
About the Role:
As our Digital Media Planner Buyer, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and optimisation of multi-channel media campaigns for a diverse range of automotive clients. You'll be at the forefront of leveraging the latest digital platforms to drive tangible results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive digital media plans across Google Ads, Meta and other paid social media platforms.
- Demonstrating a strong understanding and practical application of the latest features and best practices within these platforms.
- Integrating digital strategies with traditional media channels, including broadcast (TV/Radio), ambient, and outdoor advertising.
- Analysing campaign performance, providing insightful reports, and making data-driven recommendations for optimisation.
- Building strong relationships with clients, media owners and suppliers.
- Contributing to the strategic growth and development of the media planning and buying function within the agency.
- Crucially, you will play a key role in training and mentoring other members of the department, contributing to the overall skill development of the team.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in a Digital Media Planner Buyer role within an agency environment.
- Full conversancy and demonstrable expertise across key digital platforms: Google Ads, Meta Business Suite (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), and other relevant paid social media channels (TikTok, LinkedIn).
- A solid understanding and appreciation for the role of traditional media (broadcast, ambient, outdoor) within a broader media mix.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- A proactive, results-oriented attitude with a passion for the evolving media landscape.
- Crucially, you must reside within easy commutable distance of our Harrogate office, as this is an office-based role to facilitate team collaboration and training.
