Celebrating 30 Years of Almost Knowing What We’re Doing… But Always Having Fun Along The Way!

Harrogate, October 2024: This year, The Whole Caboodle proudly celebrates its 30th anniversary – yes, that’s right, we’ve been at this since 1994, back when "Cotton Eye Joe" was the most pressing mystery of our times and fax machines were still the height of technological sophistication. Oh, how times have changed.

When we opened our doors, we had three dedicated staff members, one Mac (which was treated like royalty), and a company car that… well, let’s just say it came with its own built-in air conditioning, courtesy of a hole in the floor under the accelerator. That trusty BMW 3 series got us from A to B (as long as you didn’t mind the wind blowing through your feet).

Since then, we’ve had a few name changes – from pgk Advertising to One Advertising to today’s The Whole Caboodle. Thankfully, the name has stuck, we like and are going to keep it, along with our infamous second question in the interview (if you know you know!) but it remains a mystery to many. We’re not telling what the question is... but let’s just say our office remains curiously Red Devil-free.

Over the years, Harrogate has always been our home base, and after hopping around a bit, we’ve been happily settled in our current office for over two decades. But our ambitions went global in 2013 when we expanded to Jaipur, India, establishing The Whole Digidoodle – because when you’re working with digital development, you need a name that’s as fun to say as it is to work with.

And what does our future hold? Well maybe a flirt down under by establishing The Whole Digeridoodle and also a hop over the pond where in the not-too-distant future The Whole Yankeedoodle may rise up and dominate North America…who knows!!

From our humble beginnings to our global presence, one thing remains the same: our passion for creative problem-solving, truly innovative AI and machine learning breakthroughs plus we always have a Fat Rascal and cup of tea close by.

As we celebrate 30 years, we thank our clients for sticking with us through the rise and fall of fax machines, the dawn of Google, and the great “Cotton Eye Joe” debates. Here’s to the next 30 years of dodgy cars, questionable music, and brilliant marketing ideas!

And finally, a big thank you from me, Calamari, to all those amazing (sometimes scary) people who we have employed along the way. You know who you are, you helped make it all happen.
